    报告简介：This talk first starts with a very brief introduction to Sungkyunkwan University in Korea and some research interests of digital media lab. Then it will discuss about compressed sensing with general overview of its concept and applications with emphasis on image and video compression. Also some recent on-going developments will be discussed.

    报告人介绍： Byeungwoo Jeon ( 全炳宇 ) received B.S. in 1985, M.S. in 1987 from the Department of Electronics Engineering, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, and Ph.D. from the School of Electrical Engineering, Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA, in 1992. He is currently a professor of the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. His research interests include multimedia signal processing, video compression, and statistical pattern recognition. Dr. Jeon is a senior member of IEEE, member of SPIE, and associate editor of IEEE Trans. on Broadcasting, He has been involved in many international technical activities such as Technical Program Chair of IEEE Broadcast Technology Society BMSB 2012, Technical Program Co-Chair of IWDW 2006, and many technical program committee members in signal processing areas.
